Hi, friends!
Today has been a sugar rush day. Work dropped massive stuff into my lap with ridiculous turnaround time expectations and lucky me I had a bag of licorice!
How did your day go?

Between the stress of dealing with the cesspool and the stress of the work project, I just want to go live in a tree.
After the nonchalant way my parents hid their detention and hospital time from me today, I may want to join you in that tree.
Did something new happen or are you just learning about an older episode?
Never mind, I just saw your other comment

…reckon there might be room for more than one of us?
im still awake now…so today is not going great
welp…
if i dont oversleep
maybe i’ll update you on the morrow
Sugar rush aways reminds me of Sugarhigh from Empire Records.
Which then reminds me of Say No More Mon Amour!
Much like my buddy Farscy, I had trouble sleeping & it made for a tough day for motivation. I thought I was done with travel for awhile but my new electric car just got to port in CA. I can pick it up near SF or LA or pay to have it delivered. Cheaper to fly there & drag my buddy along for ride even with our beer detour tab & cheap motel stops. I guess I will have lots of time to sleep when I’m dead if that’s how it works.
That would be a beautiful drive, but I have to say I’m glad I’m not doing it. How easy is it to find recharging stops?
101 or my usual Lassen Forrest way would be problematic for charging but beautiful. I5 corridor is no problem, probably the most EV friendly freeway in the US.
Co-worker: “We’re not going to go through this document line-by-line.”
Result: We went through the document line-by-line.
Noted: I’ll be drinking tonight.
Also noted: I’ll be listening to some albums I bought more than a week ago and have yet to clean and listen to them.
The darndest things parents say… “We’re fine” after I dropped off food for them today.
My messages says otherwise as the cops and hospital called several times yesterday.
Why? Because mom and dad got into a dispute as mom doesn’t remember where her home is. She was crying outside and some passerby called 911.
I spent 25 minutes today speaking to the cops and a confusing 5 minutes speaking to the emergency room doctor who dealt with them overnight.
It is a sort of good thing we’re in Canada where the cops have some standards. If this were the US then odds are pretty good that one of my parents would be dead or beaten up, arrested and in jail.
Oh, I am so sorry that things are playing out this way. Hoping you and care providers can get you mom in a better state.
That’s so hard. Not much to say but hang in there as best as possible.
I’m so sorry, Manchu. ❤️
That’s so stressful. From the outside it seems like your mom’s cognitive decline is happening very rapidly. There’s no easy way to prepare for that let alone on a short time line.
@manchcandidate,I am sorry for your troubles.
I put the warmer duvet on the bed last night and had a grand night’s sleep. Taught a tai chi class, worked on a music project I got myself into when I was up in Chicago and watched a few innings of the baseball game. We’ve got some coyote at the edge of the pastures that have been harrassing sheep so we put the big dog Sarah on patrol. If the coyote show up tonight, they’ll be sorry.
One of the amazing things I read about Italy some years ago is that wolves still roam the mountains, but the shepherds have been around them so long that their dogs are great guardians. Wolves, dogs and sheep manage to coexist so that the only time wolves eat sheep is if one of them gets sick or falls off a cliff.
I finally beat The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild!!! That’s a long overdue rush… I started playing six years ago but always quit when I got to Hyrule castle. This is my third time playing it.
Awesome, my boys and I are, slowly, playing Tears of Kingdom, which is pretty much the same game but different.
