Sunday Funday [NOT 14/12/25]

Hi, friends!

Happy Sunday!

I hope you had a good day?

It’s cold as fuck this weekend, so today I planned my day around things that involve the oven. It’s 16 degrees F at the moment (-9 C for you people in parts of the world with intelligent systems of weights and measurements), so making desserts and then roasting veggies? Perfect use of the afternoon.

My furnace didn’t have to kick on for a little over an hour, so this feels successful!

Anyways, what do you do today? Good things?

Smartly, yesterday I finally got around to replacing the dead battery in my car remote start fob. That was handy this weekend.

  2. Lazy day after not getting home last night until after midnight due to a late starting basketball game in Seattle. Got out for a walk and then all football. Now I need to figure out what I am giving to a couple friends that have done too much for me & I know got me something. Shit! Christmas just stresses me out.

  3. My eldest has Norovirus. Started with a tummy ache in the morning. Then projectile puking all over the living room rug, hallway, an bathroom floor. Then they managed to spill half a bottle of Gatorade on their mattress and carpeted bedroom floor. They are in good spirits with an iPad and unlimited Netflix in bed. I am not in good spirits after washing the rug, floors, and carpet.

      • Lol definitely not!

I’ve kept them quarantined to their room. And have been cleaning all the surfaces and making sure the rest of us wash our hands extra thoroughly. Worst case scenario is that we all catch it domino style… My husband is taking the older two to Glasgow at the end of the week. I hope none us is sick by then.

    • Happened to me in 2023 when mom and dad were going thru their dementia collapse and couldn’t go out because dad wisely refused to drive as his sense of direction was so bad.

Guilt on top of projectile vomiting is not a good feeling. I managed to drag my sick ass to a grocery store and buy my parents food out of pure guilt.

  4. This is the coldest weather we’ve been in since we left California years ago. The average temperature for today in my part of the world is about 49 degrees. It’s 10 degrees F right now and on it’s way down overnight.
