Hi, friends!
I hope your weekend has gone well! Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian internet cul-de-sac residents.
Did you do anything fun this weekend? I took mom apple picking and then we bought way too many apple cider donuts!

I managed to remember hazardous waste dropoff at my dump and got rid of about 10 years of dead batteries, old stain, thinner, and old paint.
I also went to an experimental theater production and I need to see if the pictures I took came out and can be posted at a later date.
Out of curiosity, how many apple cider donuts is too many for two adults? I took the kids to the pumpkin farm yesterday and they sell them in pairs. My kids got one each and I got two. I feel like I could have eaten four over the course of the day. Justification being I only buy them once a year.
How hot are they? Still hot enough from cooking to melt sugar and singe your fingers? Then you can eat twice as many.
I like that rule. Will double my order next year.
This is the scientifically solid answer. Cannot thank you enough for educating me on such an important matter.
That number doesn’t exist. It takes all my willpower not to dive into the display when these show up.
I know there are better local versions of these things but if I’m eating processed food I’m going to do it full force.
We bought a six pack for two adults. There’s two left for tomorrow!
I don’t think there is such a thing as too many apple cider donuts! I make them every year for Halloween. I’ve tried many different recipes but this one is easy and they’re very good. https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/baked-apple-cider-donuts/
@loveshaq did you just feel the earthquake?
My wife did, she was in our basement, I didn’t upstairs.  Our house is on the Whidbey fault line so hopefully we don’t get a bigger one or our house might be heading for Puget Sound.
I had the opposite experience. The top floor room shook but our basement didn’t. Our house is on piles and will end up in a ravine if it topples. I don’t have a Go Bag. Every couple of years I start researching them but never end up making one.
One of the local ranchers gave me a beautiful brisket. Does anyone know a good and easy way to cook these things? I don’t think I’ve ever done one.
Low & slow! Â You have a smoker?

Nope. No smoker. Maybe I need one.
