The pandemic isn’t over and it’s about to get worse again. Omicron subvariant BQ.1 is more stealthy than BA.5 and has taken the lead now. A recently published study found that repeat Covid is more likely to lead to Long Covid and death. As others have point out, their population sample predominantly consisted of older sickly men.
I feel like most people are living in a post-pandemic fantasy world except for those who are immunocompromised and some paranoid outliers (like me).

Listen I know some people get all crankypants when someone criticized capitalism as a system of exploitation because they think anything besides late-state American-style capitalism is evil scary USSR government control.

It’s getting down to 22 tonight and I’m worried about my fall veggies. I will cover the beds this afternoon, I’m going to toss some of those hothands warmers in glass jars in there too. I feel like I just need to keep the temps under the covers in the high 20s, so like maybe those hand warmers will help. Can’t hurt to try.
