    …what the fuck kind of psychosis does a species gotta be suffering from to be this invested in trying to invent new ways to say there’s magic imaginary “value” in making a massive problem warp the fiscal fabric for literally no reason that maps to a reality?

      There’s some serious pockets of humanity out there. Go to some of these truck stops in the middle of nowhere you’ll meet some serious folk.   4. As someone who worked as a lifeguard for condos/townhouse complexes… I’ve done that a couple of times when some idiot (parent) lets their kid swim with a diaper.

    It made for a quiet day for me as the pool water gets drained and have to shock the remainder with the equivalent of a month’s supply of chlorine. Miserable day for those who wanted to cool off at the condo’s pool.

    • I think a lot of Republicans are a lot nervous. Trump’s got immunity (though I can’t wait to see that get tested) but all of the others don’t. And every day the chances of us taking back both houses of Congress increase just a little bit more (see my post on Trump’s impeachment freakout). That leaves a LOT of these criminals open for prosecution.

      They truly believed they would control the country in perpetuity. And honestly, if Pop-pop weren’t in deep dementia, or if they hadn’t gone full Nazi at the first opportunity, it would have worked. But they went full evil villain as fast as possible, plus Pop-pop launched his abysmally stupid “economic” plans as quickly as possible, and they fucked things up so hard and so fast that most people who aren’t total MAGA cultists are like “fuck this shit.”

      He won’t get out, as long as Hennepin County Attorney Moriarity can get him transferred to Hennepin County’s custody, from the Sherburne County Jail.

      Moriarity said yesterday in her announcement that in MN 1st Degree Premeditated (he’s up onba charge each, for Melissa & Mark’s murders), is an *automatic* Life Without Parole sentence.

      They have enough on both those charges to get the conviction, plus the Attempted First Degree Murder for all the Hoffmans, *and* Felony Cruelty to an Animal, for Gilbert’s death.

    Meanwhile, I made Falafel and Tahini Sauce today.

    In my quest to cook better/healthier, I made Falafel from scratch. Used fresh herbs (from the supermarket) and dried chickpeas. The trick to Falafel I learned is avoid canned beans because they’re cooked which affects cohesion of the Falafel while frying.

    It was actually frighteningly easy, but it requires time.. two days. One day to soak the beans. One day to let the mixture properly marinate in the fridge and then cooking takes 5 minutes in hot oil.

    Right now all my burps smell like coriander and sesame seeds.
