    • For a long time, I’ve seen most US news video blaming “exchange” rates describing why Canadian tourists are staying away from Murrica. I suspect that a lot of those stations are Sinclair ones. A few have been honest, blaming Tangerine Scream’s policies and hostility towards Canada.

    • Seattle is one of the host cities & has gone overboard getting ready. Sales are way down & seats that were 4 digits are now around $400 (still too high!) Hotels are freaking out. The only upside is the city rushed a bunch of transit projects that would have taken years if it wasn’t for the games.

      …first time I saw that the “caption” in the sense of one I can read just remarked that…sure…getting those three to line up & pose & not notice the flag was definitely 2/3 believable & nvidia guy *really* wants to be able to sell stuff their way so he’s maybe gonna go along to get along…so…it’s insane but *could* it have happened…eh…they’ve done dumber shit in front of cameras & crowds?
