  1. Santos’ departure is a big loss for Congress. It’s not every day that the inventor of the wheel, fire and the internet decides to give up his lucrative career running Apple and his astronaut side gig to join those schlubs on Capitol Hill. He and I may not have agreed politically, but I have to respect that the F1 champion and world’s strongest man wanted to commit himself to public service.

  3. GM’s union workers ratified the labor contract:

Ford and Stellantis (Chrysler/Jeep) are expected to follow suit.

    This article outlines the details:

25% increase in base wages over the next four years, with the top wage going up 33% over that period to $42/hour.

It also brings battery plant workers into the union, and GM has agreed to invest over $18 billion in electric cars.

On an interesting side note, following the UAW deal, Honda, Toyota and Subaru’s US plants have committed to major wage increases as they look over their shoulders at organizing efforts.

    • That’s great news & another reason this Bidenomics sucks thing is pure bullshit!

    • That’s right. So the next time some clueless asshole bitches that unions don’t do anything for them, the answer has always been that even nonunion workers benefit from union victories.

  4. i hate election season…

wierdly enough my twitter feed only seems to promote the right wing talking points

tho…i have to say…this is the first time ive seen the right actually have a plan that is kinda feasible to pay for all the tax cuts they are promising

they want to use all the climate funds and all the natural gas we are sitting on to fund it

(also dismantle all the solar and wind parks and build more nuclear plants…im okay with that last one)

im not saying its a good plan…but it is the first time ive seen them actually have a way to pay for things…

anyways…cant seem to find any english links for it…welp whatever…its stupid anyways

guess we’ll see which right side wins over here soon enough
