Does anyone else find these mid-week holidays disorienting? Like I have to work today but it feels like I just had a Saturday. The drive to Cleveland was pretty uneventful. One of the cats pooped in his carrier so he was just sitting on the back seat for most of the ride. They were all drugged so they mostly slept. I’m so tired!

Marketplace did a story a couple of days ago about how pretty much every economic indicator in the UK has gotten demonstrably worse since the conservatives took over. The fact that it took 14 years for people to notice is dumbfounding. I mean at least in the US we have a four year cycle which is just short enough for the knuckle draggers here to delude themselves into thinking that the good economy during a Republican administration is somehow their doing, when the reality is they’re just piggybacking off Democratic policies from the previous administration.
Because it’s not entirely economic anxiety! But shhh don’t tell the New York Times.
