…that’s a negative [DOT 15/3/20]

…sadly the frankie boyle quote can’t quite go the distance since it’s now three positive coronavirus diagnoses for recent guests at mar a lago with whom the poster man-child for denial had contact

…but don’t worry because that crazy quack of his is on the case to tell us that the obviously out of shape, overweight, elderly sack of permatan-laminated crap is in fact not merely in rude health but positively more healthy than can be believed…to whit, that he’s been tested & is totally not at all infected & never will be because the coronavirus is scared of him on account of how he called it a democrat hoax & hurt its feelings

  1. have i mentioned im in a fucking mood?
even the orange twatwaffle cant worsen it
ever have one of those days?

i like you… but i want to shoot the messenger
    *twitches*

  2. Somehow I doubt that he was actually tested. Not just because the entire administration lies as easily as breathing, but because a friend of mine is a nurse and told me what the test is like. Firstly, it’s called a nasopharyngeal swab which already sounds awful. But she said that it looks 10 times more uncomfortable than a flu and strep swab combined. I don’t see that big fat baby sitting through that when he’s decided he doesn’t have it.

Of course with our luck he’ll be a Typhoid Trump and just pass it to people without coming down with it himself.

    • …something similar did occur to me…it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the “test” in his case was “we took his temperature & it was a little high but he says he runs a little hot so we figure he’s fine” or whatever?

      • Even if he did get tested, unless every idiot in his circle gets tested who was in contact with the CPAC guy, the Mar a Lago infected people, Bolsinaro’s kid, and all the rest AND then his circle of idiots stays out of future contact with possible infected people, then he is going to need to be retested in an ongoing basis.

The virus keeps seeking out hosts. A test is not the same as a vaccine. The press needs to keep asking about how often he has been tested.

  3. I know around here – people seem to go for the harder stuff – but a little KarKar goes a long way for lifting spirits on this Sunday morning.

  4. Did some panic shopping this AM and yikes are things yikes out there. The Yikes went up to 10 over the weekend.

As best as I can explain this, this prep-situation is like hurricane prep but also not like hurricane prep. Here in Florida, you’re told to expect hurricanes but it’s not really on your mind until August. So when a big one starts forming, people run out and buy the usual: dried pastas, canned meat, bottled water, frozen pizza, assorted bullshit.

But in this situation, people are buying those things and adding on more irrational, wasteful choices. And it isn’t their fault. Why? Because the government isn’t telling us what to do and is sending mixed messages. On the one hand, you have doctors, health care providers on the ground, experts, and the decisive action of other countries telling you that this virus is SERIOUS and that even if you’re young and healthy you are a vector for killing old people so you should isolate at home, that we haven’t hit the peak and in a week’s time this could get dire but we don’t have the numbers yet. You have universities kicking out students from dorms, you have DISNEY deciding to close and they don’t even close for hurricanes until the last minute.

On the other hand? You have the US government led by Trump. We know the saga thus far, but their continued, uneven response has people anxious. The White House keeps doing victory laps with the private sector in tow but the American people have nothing to show for it, no evidence that progress is being made. The government is propping up Wall Street but Pelosi decided it was better to do “something” by only giving 20% of Americans paid sick time. That’s what we have: a government more interested in the illusion of solutions and progress rather than the actual implementation of a plan.
