Note: There are a few numbers floating around about the actual attendance, so I’m going with somewhere between the 6,200 estimate from the fire department and the 6,611 number from setup crews.

    • The standard Getting Hit By A Bus bit took a darker turn than usual, too.

      One thing that bugs me is that a bunch of Trump’s rallies have actually had weak attendance in the past, with lots of empty seats, bored crowds, and people leaving early. But all we’ve gotten from the press is extensive airtime and running accounts of packed houses even when glimpses from wide angle shots have shown lots of deserted seats.

      • Trump’s gotten the legitimate press so frightened of the FAKE NEWS label that they now go out of their way to give Trump’s bullshit a “fair” hearing. It’s the same thing as when they refused to say he was lying (“The president misspoke today …). No, he was fucking LYING. Now they pretend that his KKK rallies get maximum attendance, even when it’s perfectly clear that they don’t. They set up false equivalencies in the interest of looking “fair.”
