Hi, friends!
I hope your week has been going well! Today’s NOT is a Thursday Turdsday post where open season on complaining about things you’re annoyed with.
I’m annoyed at a friend who can’t coordinate when to pick some stuff up at my house. It’s not taking up much space. It’s not time sensitive. I’m just annoyed that it isn’t done yet. And the friend has been busy with work etc, this is 100% me being irrational! Hence why I’ve been like “sure whenever works for you” as I know they’re busy.
I’m also annoyed at the fucking House of Representatives because they’re barrelling towards a shutdown that will fuck over low income folks with benefits for basic things like food assistance.
took tomorow off coz work cant get its shit together again….
figure ive got plenty pto
im gonna run out before years end tho at this rate tho
im final qc and the office cant seem to grasp i cant check a machine what hasnt been built
they actually gave me shit for taking the day off

not a fucking lot i reckon…im gonna have a lie in…hopefully
The House of Representatives sucks. Well, the Republican half does. Fuck them.
I got four hours of sleep last night so cranky doesn’t begin to cover it.
People still watering their lawns. It’s wasteful to begin with and now that it’s the end of September let it go already! I passed a house the other day when I walking and they had six sprinklers in their yard. SIX!
My stupid supervisor, my micromanaging micro manager and the rest of the walking dead at work. I can deal with stupid managers. I can deal with asshole managers. I have a hard time with stupid asshole managers.
I’ve mentioned before that I’m part of this 18 month long installation of a new software at work. There’s an aspect of the software for which I’ve become the de facto “expert.” When reaching out to one of the other departments about records that didn’t have a bunch of new values that they’d requested two months ago, they sent me the information I needed…and then added THIRTEEN new values that they just sort of expected to be there. There was a deadline of 8/1 when everything needed to be submitted for me to build it. We are now two months past that point. When I asked them about the new values they said they just thought I hadn’t built them yet. The problem with their argument is that I keep my receipts. I have the email showing their “final” request dated 7/31. This is not happening.
I always love how people sometimes try to go off the record and request stuff orally, so you have to send a followup email to confirm their request and maintain the trail.
Mission creep is real.
I have two brothers. One is a sociopath and the other a psychopath. I can’t tell them apart.
It’s not because they’re twins or anything…I mean…one is older, the other is younger and they look completely different from one another and they both behave differently in the presence of others always dependent on who the others are at any given time…but because I don’t think either one of them, in our lifetime, will ever win the lifelong argument between them as to which of them is the sociopath and which is the psychopath.
I need them to figure it out just so I know about whom I should pretend to feel about the most.
🙁
I was just watching a few minutes of the Packers Lions game, and I was reminded how much I hate how broadcasters overdo different camera shots on every single play. There are so many cuts to pointless stuff like fans primping or coaches covering their mouths that it takes you out of the flow of the game and inevitable cuts off action.
Just show the game, dammit.
I wish they’d have the main cameras cover more of the field. Watching the qb stand in the pocket and throw the ball when you can’t even see to whom he is throwing it whilst the camera follows the ball is like watching a cardinal fly into a window and waiting to see if it knocks itself out or not.
Was it man or zone?
No matter. I’ll wait for Collinsworth to tell me about how routey the route was that was routed by the router and whatnot.
“Blown coverage!”
So it wasn’t the routily routed route, Chris?
Baseball camera angles are the best, in contrast…I want to see every pitch.
“Routey router McRouterson just ran a route into blown coverage…you’ll be able to watch the play after this commercial and I figure out a way to pretend I know wtf I am talking about.”
What I don’t like about baseball camerawork is on long fly balls with guys on base they almost never do a good job on wide angles so you can see what the baserunners are doing while the outfielders are chasing the ball.
I think in the old days of 15 inch CRTs they had to follow the ball, but these days screens are big enough that they could do a much better job showing more of the action at once.
Human shit Curt Schilling outed Tim Wakefield and his wife’s cancer prognosis (both not good at all) because he was a Christian and a man of faith. This is right after he talks about a “Solution” to the “Jewish” Problem.
Wow…
My husband has 7:30am meetings at least twice a week. It makes those mornings measurably harder for me because I have to take all three kids to Kindergarten drop off instead of just my eldest. It takes more time to get them buckled into their car seats than it does to drive to school. I have to get them all out of the car and walk two blocks because there’s no parking allowed in front of the school. Then we walk back to the car and I buckle the youngest two back into their car seats for the three minute car ride home. Grrrr stupid international meetings!
