Thursday Turdsday [NOT 5/3/26]
Packing & planning for our Vancouver trip tomorrow. I appreciate that my wife got the hotel & signed us up for a class but everything else is on me. I found some cool gardens for the days & breweries for the eve. I also got us into a crazy looking tiki bar! I got my loudest aloha shirt ready to roll!

Our furnace started smelling like melted plastic last week. Glad we don’t live in a place that gets proper winters. It’s cold in the house but not enough to layer up. Every appliance in this house seems to be reaching the end of its service life. We didn’t count on that when we bought the house and it’s especially irksome because we had replaced all the ones in our old house too.

…sister who stayed home in eden valley to become the detective in the department the dad is chief of is the annie oakley slash calamity jane but nice one & the semi-estranged “nobody says spectrum, but…” brother comes home in the first episode because nowhere else will let him be a police detective with his anti-interpersonal-skills
…so far it’s pleasantly funny if you had zero expectations going in?
