I mentioned this the other day in the comments, but apparently this has blown up on Twitter etc. Racists are BIG MAD that Lizzo played James Madison’s precious crystal flute. My thought is this: you are only entitled to talk about the crystal flute if you were aware that it existed a week ago. Otherwise, STFU.

Your choice guys!

Thanks I love it

    • I was more intrigued by how old the daughter was that she knew how to spell Zephyr. Turns out that Ken Tremendous is Michael Schur, who was a writer and producer on The Office, co-created Parks and Rec and Brooklyn Nine Nine, and created A Good Place. Obviously the daughter has a very bright father. Mom J. J., I was delighted to learn, is a screenwriter and producer best known for her work on The O.C. AND is the daughter of Regis and Joy Philbin. Naturally she goes by her maiden name. So it’s no wonder the daughter knows how to spell Zephyr even if she is only…12? What? I could spell Zephyr at the age of 12. But my research, obviously, was not a waste of time.

  1. I came across an interesting bit of trivia and since it’s Friday I thought I’d let you guess. As of September, 2022, who is the most followed person on Instagram? The answer kind of surprised me but it might be obvious to some of you. I was provided as a multiple choice question:

    Cristiano Ronaldo

    David Beckham

    Kylie Jenner

    Kim Kardashian

    ————————

    No googling.

    And the answer is:

Cristiano Ronaldo. I see now that he’s only 37, and I could have sworn that he’s been playing soccer, sorry football, for 37 years. Haven’t I been hearing about him for 37 years?

  2. I don’t know that Marge’s marriage being “irretrievably broken” is quite the earth-shaking detail it’s being made out to be: In my experience here at least, it seems to be part of the standard, boilerplate language in divorce proceedings, and it’s basically on the level of saying “water is wet.” I mean, I’ve probably interpreted the phrase in pretty much every divorce hearing I’ve done in court. (“Este matrimonio queda irrevocablemente roto.”)

    • …one thing someone reminded me of the other day is that she only has her seat because her opponent was served divorce papers less than 60 days out from the ballot & withdrew so she ran unopposed

…sure would be a nice bit of poetic justice if divorce did her out of that seat, too
