Wherein I bring you the metal. You fashion a tin whistle, and maybe a new crank for your hurdy-gurdy.
Don’t take Wednesday’s shit. Get on out there and fuck it up. (You thought I was going to go for the cheap pun, didn’t you? Well folk you, too.)

New Two Minutes to Late Night has a Rush cover with Les Claypool on bass! Yippeeee!
And the guitarist from Mastodon! This rules!
Donovan shreds the Hurdy Gurdy Man. I’ve never seen anyone thrash while sitting on a stool before.
You’re killin’ me, lol.
I’ll see you, and raise you:
This is the greatest thing ever. I wish I could have been in the studio when Shatner was cutting.

OMG!
Pat Boone rocks the house!
This was fun. I spent the morning listening to folk metal (is that what this is called?) instead of cleaning my house. Some of it sounded like parody bands and made me laugh. But I like this group from Poland.
Merkfolk – Topielica
Yes, “folk metal” is not an oxymoron. This week was inspired by my conversation with Polly Sorbate last week.
I’m here for it. There aint no crossover that aint legit if they’re making music. Subjective, maybe but I’d fight for it.
Thanks LEMMY!
ooo i love korpiklaani…but today im in a more trashy mood (okay okay..i might always be in a trashy mood)
Sounds a bit like Havok:
works for me 🙂
As usual, I have no idea what is going on here but I appreciate you.
Folk yeah! I’m surprised Opeth hasn’t come up in one of these weekly steel threads yet.
Not a huge fan of those super-deep gutteral vocals. My kid loves Whitechapel. I don’t quite get it.
Sticking with the classics.
Gonna have to break out the classic metal some week.
