Love that band.
Can’t get into them with the vocals.
But I love the phrase “trophies of violence” way too much.
The attraction was the way all the instrumentation is layered. It’s almost orchestral. It seems to be a feature of Finnish melodic death metal. The vocals kind of grew on me after a while.
I went looking for some violent metal. There’s a lot of gruesome stuff out there!
Exhumed – Slaughter Manic
The thing about dry leaves is that they burn really easily. (I cannot believe it’s the 20th anniversary of “Clayman”. The footage from the early part of this video looks A LOT like the concert I took my first stage dive at.)
I featured them in one of these a while back. That was one of the last live shows I saw before COVID put an end to it.
