Despite the fact that CoVID is rare, but the flu isn’t, I still visit my dad wearing a mask. In fact I’m the only one who seems to wear a mask visiting the seniors home. What’s worse is that my dad’s wing is on lock down right now because, well, someone came in sick and decided to not wear a mask.
The weird thing about my dad’s dementia is that it made him a lot nicer. My siblings and I suspect that mom was the source of a lot of his anger issues. Not sure how that dynamic worked, but it didn’t seem healthy. I’ll admit, I was way happier when I moved out of the parents house… but I thought it was equally them…
My MIL is getting angrier and nastier, which is remarkable, since she was barely tolerable before. But like Meg’s mom, she’s still vastly more coherent than Trump. She can speak in complete sentences and still articulate cogent thoughts, which he seems unable to do at all. That’s why I theorize Trump’s had a series of strokes with a pretty severe one fairly recently. Once we had my MIL examined after her last stroke, they found evidence of several prior small strokes. That’s what all the “IQ tests” and MRIs and scans that Trump babbles about are measuring, the amount of brain damage.
That’s what happened to my friend’s dad. Each micro stroke made him worse. Till he tried to strangle his wife and the cops interviewed him and found out he was imagining she had an affair with a 30 year old man and made threats to chop the imaginary man’s dick off. He went to a mental institution till CoVID got him.
We knew he was off his rocker, but this threw my friend for a loop.
It’s going to be bad and hopefully no one is going to die because those cowards didn’t do anything to stop it.

It’s not in any sort of way an excuse for it, but I believe it’s possible Trump didn’t know there was a racist video of the Obamas in that dumb shit he posted.
He doesn’t have the attention span to watch an entire video.
But also, when he found out he probably was excited about it.
One of the side effects of dementia is a loss of inhibition. Trump barely had any social filters through most of his life, and those are vanishing along with his frontal and temporal lobes. I said it before, he will use the n word in public before we’re done with him. You can be certain he’s screaming it in private. He may not have watched the whole video, but he absolutely watched enough to decide it was great and rushed to repost it.
The spin machine really screwed the pooch on this one. First you have KKKarolina saying “it wasn’t that bad, get over it” which obviously landed with a thud. Then they pivoted to saying a “staffer” posted it, which we all know is a lie.
Bizarrely, some MAGA figures seem to have found this post to be highly objectionable, which certainly doesn’t track with previous behavior. I’m not quite sure what’s going on there, except that they’re scared about the election. The Latin voters have turned decisively against Trump, and now he’s busy offending the Black voters.
They know people want heads… Figuratively and in reality. I am in the want MAGAt heads for reals category.
Also, the GOPers are losing in places they had zero business losing. It’s not just jumps in Dim/Dem voting.
