PS: Did you know that WordPerfect is still around? Meg, you might know this. Apparently some law firms still use it because Word is so godawful about auto-formatting and auto-correcting, and courts won’t accept paperwork that isn’t formatted in specific ways (which Word will tend to override, and you the paralegal will spend hours trying wrestle back into acceptable form.) With WP you have so much more control. I worked in WP for years, and very happily.
And if you think Word sucks, which it does, if you’re on a Mac OS you are now forced to use their equivalent, Pages. Even shittier than Word, if you can believe it.
That’s true which is why I use OpenOffice on my Macbook

The Boys: These are the stupider MAGAts who are extraordinarily slow that are just now figuring out the show isn’t a love song to fascism. The original freakout was last season when Homelander murders a pretty white girl who was contemplating suicide and changes her mind. That was the first time the MAGAts realized that maybe this show wasn’t what they “thought.” I was startled then to discover there were idiots who didn’t realize this was satire.
It must be an incredibly bizarre existence to accept everything at face value and as literally presented. Sometimes I try to think how anyone could not grasp metaphor or not suspect ulterior motives or not understand how to evaluate contradictory information. It’s so freaking weird, and there are so damn many of them.
Cognitive issues help explain why they love Trump as some demi-gawd warrior who is rich and smart and brave when he’s none of those things.
funilly enough…recently a poll came out over here…stating that many more people have faith in the current gubment being good than before
also most of those now very optimistic are poorly educated…
its not hard to see why the right goes after education…
i work with a lot of these people…and most are nice people…they just dont really follow the news or fact check or read much….
