Did you have a good weekend? Did things get done? Or was it a nice relaxing weekend?
I spent a lot of time doing yard work yet again, but fuck me I feel like I am no closer to being caught up. All the rain lately has really made it hard to get outside and get things done. If I didn’t work during the day, of course that’s when the weather is nice and I could theoretically get things done. Who knows, maybe a *cough cough* sick day is in my future?
I slept poorly both Friday and Saturday nights — worse than usual. It’s strange how different Saturday and Sunday ended up being. Saturday was pretty much just a bust. I watched some soccer (Wolves won again), went and grabbed lunch by myself (wife was out of town all weekend), and then just … did … nothing. Really weird.
Well, something about that bugged me because I got a ton done today. Even did yardwork with my back squawking at me. I just took more breaks than usual. But ended up checking a bunch of items off my get-shit-done list.
I’ll be sore tomorrow, but for a good reason.
I ended up working on Sat only, but thanks to a communications mix up I had to back at midnight to prep something critical thus ended up going to bet at 3am.
I was groggy going out with friends for lunch as I woke up at 11am. Was actually pretty late in part due to crazy ass down town traffic but it was great having a social life for a day.
I took tomorrow and Tues off because my sister and I have a lot of family stuff to deal with like intering mom’s ashes to their final resting place.
re potted my peppers..mowed the lawn..made some hospital visits….and ate a lot of baguettes….coz its warm…so fuck cooking…fresh bread and salad ftw!
