We’re in autumn now. Squashes and root vegetables are in season. It’s cool at night, maybe even in the day depending on where you live.
Also known as – well now I’ll run the oven and not care about heating up the house. 🙂
So, what’s cooking? I’ve been enjoying a big pot of beans and greens the last few days. Tomorrow or Saturday it’s roasted butternut squash and lentil salad time.
I found a hunk of pie crust dough in the freezer so I made chicken pot pie. I figure now that running the oven means the heat turns on a little less since it’s close to the thermostat.

Oh that’s nice, I won’t be drinking heavily alone. You know, that’s depressing and concerning.
Instead, I can be drinking heavily with internet friends. That’s not anything to worry about!
I’ll see if I can think of a post. However I will be hiding in a soundproof bunker on election night, possibly with a bunch of kittens to sooth my soul.
Yeah, that’s going to be a rough week & night either way…
I just saw an Old Navy Christmas commercial and you know, I wish I were drunk right now.
I’ve been so distracted I just realized we are half way through the last usually peaceful month. I swear I will kill if I hear Christmas music this weekend!
This jingle was to the tune of a Christmas carol, so good luck with that.
Even the word “jingle” pisses me off before Thanksgiving!
I’ve already overdosed on eggnog lattes for the past two weeks. Xmas season has begun whether we like it or not 😉
