We’re in autumn now. Squashes and root vegetables are in season. It’s cool at night, maybe even in the day depending on where you live.
Also known as – well now I’ll run the oven and not care about heating up the house. š
So, what’s cooking? I’ve been enjoying a big pot of beans and greens the last few days. Tomorrow or Saturday it’s roasted butternut squash and lentil salad time.
I found a hunk of pie crust dough in the freezer so I made chicken pot pie. I figure now that running the oven means the heat turns on a little less since it’s close to the thermostat.

Oh that’s nice, I won’t be drinking heavily alone. You know, that’s depressing and concerning.
Instead, I can be drinking heavily with internet friends. That’s not anything to worry about!
I’ll see if I can think of a post. However I will be hiding in a soundproof bunker on election night, possibly with a bunch of kittens to sooth my soul.

I just saw an Old Navy Christmas commercial and you know, I wish I were drunk right now.
I’ve been so distracted I just realized we are half way through the last usually peaceful month. I swear I will kill if I hear Christmas music this weekend!
