What’s on the menu? [NOT 28/11/22]

My expression when confronted by a Smoothie. You should not attempt to feed any dog or me a Smoothie.

Hi, friends!

How did your day go? Are you finally through with the Thanksgiving leftovers if you’re in the US?

What’s on the menu this week? I’m back to salads because I need to eat up some of the greens from the garden. And eat more veggies to be less unhealthy.

Also enjoying a fantastic lentil, kale, and butternut squash salad that has the delightful bonus of being vegan, gluten-free, nut-free (since I forgot to add the toasted pecans), and soy-free. So that’s a winner and I need to remember it if we have any departmental potlucks anytime soon.

  1. I don’t have time to meal prep so I made a huge dish that involved noodles and veggie broth and tofu that should last a few days. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend making it.

  2. I have no food because I haven’t gone shopping yet. My Sunday night plans were ruined because my mom nearly fell for a scam letter about their finances. I had to scoure through their bank statements for a few hours to make sure nothing was lost. Nothing was lost.

Among the few items in my fridge were potatoes and butter so I made mashed potatoes today…

    • Oh, shit, I’m sorry things got derailed but glad it didn’t end up worse.

My parents are already all in on the weird shit that the Trumpy news channels advertise (like they have several mypillow shitty things), so it’s only a matter of time before they fall to some dumb shit.

Also mashed potatoes are awesome and a wonderful choice.

  3. In other news, a facebook group I’m in about insect identification* had this person in California post a picture of bugs coming out of their Christmas tree. Fucking green stink bugs. I would be livid and miserable and that tree would be doused in gasoline and on fire in the street.

*this should surprise no one as you all know I’m a giant nerd
