Fucking cold. I got the nasty one going around this year just yesterday afternoon making me very infectious.
I had to cancel a Xmas weekend visit from a good friend of mine at the very last minute. He was about to board the train to my place when I called (that’s how last minute it was.)
It was my duty to let him know though and hopefully saved him from getting it.
Also ruined my plans to visit my dad as I usually avoid visiting my dad on the big holidays not because I am some cruel asshole who doesn’t care about him. WHY? I just got an email from the seniors home that all wards except my dad’s got a CoVID outbreak.

MAGAs can’t figure out anything, because there’s no “there” there. They don’t have a plan. Even the Project 2025 schmucks don’t actually have more than a very overwritten letter to Santa that expresses all of their hateful wishes.
When everything seems darkest and hope is all but gone, there’s one thing I cling to: These people are idiots.
Trump started out a moron and cognitive decline has made it far worse. He’s a raving egomaniac so he won’t tolerate anyone near him with any degree of intelligence, because they might suggest that every word from his orange maw isn’t absolute genius. The problem for MAGA is that he’s still in charge, and he hears people say stupid shit, and then acts on it. The predictable result is chaos.
MAGA is a big tent, and under it you have all kinds of bigotry and hate. But they don’t all hate the same people, and that’s their biggest weakness, as Impulse Control Elmo has shown with his MAGA fight.
My guess is that the next big blunder will be that they’re going to railroad that spineless toady Mike Johnson out of the speaker seat. And you know what? That’s just fine. It will lead to months of fighting and arguing and the more the imbeciles attack each other, the less heinous shit they can perpetrate.
So that’s my hopeful note for the new year: These people are idiots.

For years and years the state level government has been run by a Republican supermajority. Their level of stupid is unparalleled.
Yes, they’ve fucked up some shit. They had that legislation preloaded when Roe fell. They’re actively fucking over trans kids.
But you’d think with that recurring supermajority, much of it MAGA dickbags that they would accomplish tons of things and they haven’t. Because they’re too stupid.
Same thing in Florida. Yeah, they’ve fucked things up, but actually enacting any long-term plans or goals? They start arguing over drag queen story hour and completely lose the thread.
