and amazon is gone…

i might have fiddle faddled for a bit longer..coz yea but its cheap…and its got some good shit….if it werent for this message when i tried to play a video

amazon prime video streaming and HDCP

The message “Your video will play in standard definition” on Amazon Prime Video indicates that your computer’s hardware, HDMI cables, and display do not meet the HDCP requirements for HD video playback. HDCP is a content protection standard that ensures that only authorized devices can play protected content. If your setup does not support HDCP, it will not be able to stream in HD. This issue can arise from various factors, including the type of monitor, graphics card, and the specific version of the software you are using. To resolve this, you may need to check your HDCP status, update your graphics drivers, or consider purchasing a compatible device that supports HDCP.

  1. HDCP is the super-special “content protection” for high-def content. It’s just another layer of bullshit ostensibly to protect people from pirating movies off Amazon.

If your computer has a modern version of Windows, it almost certainly has the HDCP, but you may need to go into the control panel for your video adapter and switch it on. Good luck.
