            • I *very* much appreciate the thought & gesture, annnnd forcthe time being, *with* the level of “scrambled egg” the PTSD-shit tends to semi-regularly short out m’brains with, it’s not something I think I can quite handle right now.

              This past year has been basically “Rebuild & Repair” mode, between my noggin & the “meat-covered wet skeleton” it drives around in… annnnd-

              To use vehicular terms to make it a bit easier to understand;

              Imagine a car that was pretty solid when it was new, but the owner moved, started going to a shop they *thought* they could trust (my old roommate situation), but it turns out that “trusted place,” was full of backhanded-dealing & a lying service-writer, both overcharging on *everything* AND–more importantly?

              Never allowing any of that “basic vehicular maintenance” the car was taken to the shop *for* to ever happen.

              So you *think* the car’s being maintained properly, but you notice she’s strugglin’ a bit…
              So you learn to “baby the acceleration” better, you learn to *gently* coast into your stops rather than braking, because “the transmissions gettin’ a bit tricky.”

              You hear the cylinders begin to tap out a different rhythm–but “the shop said she’s fine!” so you just adjust *your* driving technique–until the car suddenly STOPS one day, in the middle of rush hour traffic, and insurance will only tow you to the nearest shop…

              Where you get out of the car, *discover* you’ve somehow not merely “folded yourself into a pretzel,” you managed to turn yourself into *an ENTIRE origami Village (with people, pets, and landscape!🙃🫠), annnnnnd then the mechanic takes you back to where they’ve opened the hood…

              Annnnnd the car you’ve been driving needs a roof-top-to-tire-bottom & bumper to bumper overhaul.

              Shit’s fucked, alllll the tubey-bits are gummed up, the moving parts *can’t*, and the ENTIRE damn thing needs to be ripped apart, *everything* cleaned FIRST, then the wear & damage assessed, bad parts swapped out for newer *functioning* ones, then those parts oiled/greased, reassembled, tolerance-checked, tested before installing, and *then* rebuilt into a working vehicle again…

              At this point?

              I’m somewhere between i *think* halfway, and maaaaybe 3/4ths, on that last, “rebuild” process🤷‍♀️

              But she’s *not* fully back together, and the Test Drives to make SURE things work again, are nooooowhere near yet.

              (Heck, that’s why I dropped off for so long, just “surviving the day” was ALL in could do energy & brain-wise, for quite a bit, before I made it back over here)

              And what with *trying* to fiiiiinally start back at work (half-days, the first month, and this will be my FIRST time back at work, since that pelvis break, back on June 23!), getting my body fully back to “talking to itself *successfully*, and able to actually process & READ what it needs & wants, as opposed to the “this will work long enough to….” that i’ve been *doing* for so many years i’d forgotten how to have “plans for what I *want* to do in the future” as opposed to simply “meet all the *obligations* i can try to meet, and just learning to fucking “Human” again, rather than constantly following myself *out* to accommodate the needs to allll the folks around me?

              I’m still *tired* most days.

              The AuDHD burnout is *deep*, the Trauma from both the masking like a MF *and* not having the “Processing time & space” I needed for the last decade+, leaves me with “just 1-2 spoons” when I end my days right now.

              Which is GREAT, ngl, because i WAS in “Spending Deficit” for *years*–where I was alllllllways burning 10-20+ of “tomorrow’s spoons” each day!

              Buuut, like I tell my therapist-

              I am fucking HOARDING those “last couple spoons” at this point, like a kid who went hungry will hoard *any* scrap of candy they find!

              Because it’s been SUCH hard work, simply to get *here*?

              That i WILL cut a motherfucker who tries to steal any of those spoons!😉😂🤣

              And with the extra PTSD-dumps of the last few weeks, where my body isms TRYING to dump that fucking adrenaline & cortisol, and I have to devote *conscious* brain power to regulating myself & stay calm via breathing, grounding, deep pressure, and managing my ‘stims”?

              I just don’t HAVE the brainpower or the spoons, to try that type of thing right now.🫶
