What’s coming soon that you’re excited about?
In a few weeks, Bridgerton Season 3 hits Netflix and I’m super excited. Penelope and Colin have a great story and I am looking forward to seeing what they do with it.
The Fall Guy comes out tomorrow, and that looks like it will be a fun summer action movie. I’ll probably end up seeing that with friends in a few weeks, too.

Well, now that it is over and I didn’t die, I can report that I had a rather complex abdominal surgery today. (Although had it turned out differently, I would have had the honour of being the first DS Church of the Conjoined Sunday funeral.)
At the hospital from 6AM until 4 PM, two and a half hours of surgery, and a 7-inch-wide, deep, incision and 4 smaller laparoscopic incisions later, I’m home.
I’d prefer to be on a morphine drip. They gave me Rx strength ibuprofen and 10 oxy pills…for a pain-level of 5 if I am stock-still, which shoots to a stabbing 9 with any lateral movements or bending. And I am a tough cookie about pain. Grrrr.
So I am looking forward to fast healing!
Holy shit!!! Sorry to hear but glad you are on path to recovery. Get that husband to treat you like the queen you are! FYCE in bed!
Oh my. Good luck with the recovery. Don’t be a martyr, and make sure all of the gathered loved ones tend to you 24×7, even when you don’t need it.
Yikes. You didn’t lose your appendix, got a re section of your bladder and six inches of colon?
Morphine drip sounds fun but it’s not. Had to deal with opioid withdrawal when I left the hospital. Not fun.

A while ago you suggested that I name some of the new lambs after DS luminaries, so I present to you (L to R) Elliecoo, @Hannibal, and Myo.
They’re only a month old, but they’re already getting big. I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to get out to the kiddie pasture to get a picture. And yes, I can tell them apart.

Make sure Myo only grazes on grass and not on any maple leafs. That will just upset his stomach.

I believe you about the level of pain you are experiencing and your pain tolerance threshold. Is it normal to be sent home so soon if your pain level can shoot up to 9? I wish I could help you in some way. Have you heard of the Zodiac Academy book series? Might be something fun to keep your mind

Apparently it’s all the rage on IG right now for those of us seeking something to fill the void that Fourth Wing has left us with.Thank you, @HammerZeitgeist, virtual hugs appreciated! They were very specific at sending folks home at a 5 pain level, “because you will have pain after surgery”. (Duh, okay, rolls eyes.) The hospital is part of the massive University of Pennsylvania medical complex, and they run a pretty tight ship, as far as patient turnover.

Heading to the Walla Walla spring release tomorrow. Weekend of amazing wines & debauchery with friends. We have a couple of new wineries to check out so I am excited. Wife missed last year due to her father so will be fun for her to be able to go again.
