      • It’s pretty obvious that at least some of the idiots on X that are generating CSAM and other explicit materials truly believe that Grok has x-ray vision or some shit, or can somehow access secret images of their victims through magic or whatever. They don’t, or aren’t capable of, understanding that it’s basically creating this stuff from other images it’s seen, essentially Photoshopping them together in response to a prompt.

  4. I have approximately 775 questions about the latest jobs report coming after the “do not panic, nothing to see here” noise of the past 48 hours.

    It’s not even that it was a “good” jobs report, necessarily, but it certainly was not the sort of doom and gloom that was suggested by the pre-setting of expectations.

    • I know, it’s weird. Clearly they expected something much worse than they got. I just can’t figure out why they were worried, other than the fact that they’ve fired thousands of people and kidnapped thousands more.

      The administration’s problem is now they’re trapped in the Biden Paradox. No matter how things actually are, nobody believes them. And their main cheerleader, the only one that MAGA dimwits will listen to, is rapidly losing the ability to articulate even the simplest concepts.

      • Basically in three parts, all of which are varying degrees of bad: “The Economy” as a broad concept is not a thing that exists in a world of no-agreed-upon facts, it becomes how are you doing personally and generally speaking the answer there is “shit costs a lot more”; the stock market was always only tangentially related to the broader economy and now it’s basically not tethered to it in any meaningful way; politicians have relatively little control over the economy even in good times, and making promises you can’t possibly keep is a losing proposition (somebody please tell the fucking Democrats about this).
