Hope everyone is having a great week. Sorry I completely forgot about y’all on Monday. I head home from Nashville today; I’m about ready to be home. I’m glad I got to see my friend and my cousin, but I’m over the co-workers and ‘teambuilding’. I miss my cats.

In other news, I’ve been sequestered in a conference room for two days now so I don’t really know what else is going on…I’ll try…

    • I worked with a Hispanic guy from Tejas whose family had been there for generations. From what I gathered, they hated the recent immigrants from South of the border.

      I remember a Cheech Martin film called “Born in East LA” about a native born Hispanic (Cheech) mistaken for being an illegal immigrant and deported.

      Doesn’t seem so fucking funny now especially to the Northerner Hispanics as many have been deported or treated like shit by ICE despite being citizens and destroying the myth of “white adjacent.”

      This was the post earlier today–but as you guys can see from the shit-soaked barn pics and the *dry* manure on the milking equipment, it’s BEEN an ongoing issue.

      Because Dim (Dan’s nickname over there), did diddly-squat tesearch-wise, before he built that shiny toy barn.

      They use a couple of “manure robots” for the floor (think mini-zamboni/XL Roomba, but for cattle poop!)

      The machine(s) *broke* last year for a bit–so he had his kids squeegee-ing the barn floors.

      And if you look closely at that, or other posts showing the milking barn?

      You’ll SEE the inch+ of liquid cow shit on the floors, the posts and fencing that have sometimes *inches* of dried manure sticking out & built up at the bottoms, and the cows udders *not* getting scrubbed off, before the milking machine goes on.

      Literally NONE of that stuff would fly, in the Dairy Farms–*especially* the Milking Parlors of the barns where I grew up!

      I’ve seen *multiple* hog & chicken barns which are TONS cleaner than BF’s Milking operation!

          • …could be wrong…but…ockham’s razor style…an available explanation doesn’t necessarily require anything but knowing so little about farming that you think “raw milk” means “basically the stuff just comes out of the cows if I let them mostly just do what they seem like they were planning to anyway & that goes in a bottle & I charge more than it costs to do that & that’s about as solid as a business plan needs to be…the stuff sells itself anyway & you wouldn’t believe what these idiots will pay for it, too”

            …pipe dreams are a subset of the american dream, after all…I just never personally met a dairy farmer who could say what they thought people like that did to their livelihood in the sense of both dairy & farming…without copious swearing being involved…& I don’t mean to imply that the account that says it’s a farmer that’s posting isn’t a farmer…but…I am saying I’ve never met them but I believe if they are & you asked them to just say it instead of post it there would be swearing before they stopped?

            • …if she could have been a ballerina…or any kind of dancer…or anything where she might have made a living doing something she liked…& she decided being married to a classic *that guy* guy being the cornerstone of her way to do that instead…that does still seem more tragic in that on top of how much it just overall sucks…it also sucks enough to suck for even her in a way it didn’t need to…which maybe is worse than if that component were removed…but maybe also doesn’t pay out in a coin redeemable in sympathy at any exchange rate that says there would be any…at least that I’m aware of

              …while on the other hand also being aware of things fitting pretty similar descriptions where I probably would find it hard to deny the sympathy even for the part where they don’t even think about getting out of dodge being a possibility for reasons they might not even be wrong about for lots of wrong reasons because…these people at least don’t seem to also be the sort of people where that part comes into play?
