  1. I was devastated. I loved her since her SCTV days in the 80s. Here she is officiating at David and Patrick’s wedding on “Schitts Creek.”

  2. So when we woke up this morning it was 2 degrees F. I was talking to friend of mine yesterday who is a seasonal ski instructor and he was in his car heading up to his—it’s not exactly a resort. Imagine being on a snowy mountain in 2 degree or worse temps.

    Nonetheless summer will be here before we know it and if you’re a fan of washed-up reconstituted bands from the 1970s or tribute acts, Batavia Downs has announced its summer lineup (website’s a little wonky):

    I had forgotten the Spinners ever existed, and I had their album. There’s a dance that went along with “Rubber Band Man” but I can’t remember what it was.

    To orient yourself, Batavia Downs is quite close to Buffalo and Toronto, should any Canadians risk visiting us again, and 346 miles from Manhattan, a drive of just under six hours. I will not be attending, because there is a ton of Fleetwood Mac original concert footage on YouTube, so no need to travel to the Canadian border to see a tribute act.

      It’s not enough to increase the odds of me being shot in the head by ICE, and then my corpse being deported to Djibouti.
