Hi, friends!
What’s new? Did you have a good weekend?
Listen – I don’t have the energy for five NOTs a week at this point. And there’s really not much engagement at night anyways. One of my weeknight NOTs seems to get maybe 3-5 comments most nights. People are busy, and I totally get why there isn’t more chatter.
So starting this week, I’ll do them Sun-Tues-Thurs. If other people want to do one on a Monday or a Wednesday? Hell yeah go for it!
In other news, I’ve been exceptionally crabby the last week or so. And not for the hormonal reasons – wrong week. While work has been miserably stressful, that’s cyclical and my crabbiness is worse than usual.
I was trying to figure out if I’m always this crabby but this time around I’m more self-aware?
Then I realized I’ve been working really hard at the gym and being very, very focused on eating better. I wonder how much of my crabbiness is just being in a caloric deficit?
Am I just HANGRY???
Yeah, you absolutely are hangry. I also find this seasonal transition from summer to fall to be a tough one, especially when I want to establish better habits.
It’s definitely worth it though, I wore jeans Friday that were too tight a few months ago.
Also, I live alone so the only people routinely on the receiving end of my crabbiness would be coworkers (who also cause most of my problems). Honestly, they deserve it.
That’s awesome! Celebrate that.
BTW, I can pitch in some NOTs here and there. Just like the Coffee Breaks, I won’t commit to a schedule but will post when I can.
We’re all volunteers here. I have no issue helping out dropping an emergency NOT if I’m not face deep in school work as I usually get home from school (!) between 6-7pm.
George Springer!!!
I had a great end to the weekend. Went to an auction to raise money for a dog rescue place at my friend’s taproom. We ended up winning a brewing session at one of our favorite breweries. We get to work w/ them on a recipe, name it & keep a bunch of it. A hopheads dream come true.
i had my annual battle of atrition with mums chestnut tree…where i try to at least clear the garden paths of leaves as it throws conkers at me….
its a grumpy old tree with lots of ammo and a frankly unreasonable amount of leafs to shed
and on the note of sheds i also had to clear its gutters of leafs..which i can reach from the ground…so its just scooping leafs out as i walk past it…but whatevers living under its rooftiles wasnt entirely pleased about the operation and decided to bite my hand…. yay for heavy gardening gloves
I was eating only out of necessity for the past month thanks to a cold. Then I got to Montreal and literally a skirt I wore on Friday no longer fit on Saturday. I always eat well here. No complaints.
