…I mean…it’s not my bluesky account but…per babadook (nukem) esq.

Give me the gift of Twenty Five Airplane Bottles of Malort this Christmas. You surely will not regret leaving me unsupervised with Twenty Five Airplane Bottles of Malort

how about a giant advent calendar where every day is one of these malort calendars

    now we’re thinking with portals

…on the other hand…if we nail it to the wall below decks on the tallship…uh…SV…MSV…DV…deadsplinter we could use it like an emergency medicine cabinet for crisis purposes if we needed an emetic or smelling salts?

    • …haven’t a couple of states he had chalked up as “in the bag” nixed their redistricting in the last month or so…like…was it indiana just this week?

…after that no kings thing seems like some people squinted a little different at what those efforts put on the table rather than taking off the way they were supposed to & shied at the fence…so the suppression stuff has to take that slack…& someone in congress proposed barring dominion machines now those are in the pocket they are

…somewhere (will try to remember to look this one up because it sounded interesting) was looking into an exercise of states rights that would sidestep citizens united by declaring that corporate entities don’t get to speak in money when it’s campaign time because the state doesn’t see that as being part of the charter that delineates what a corporate entity is so it’s not denial of free speech it’s revocation of an un-granted liberty being taken

…&…I’ve tried not to go looking…or visit the various places that have the whole thing as an indexed searchable database…but…just some of the parts I have seen have me seriously struggling to maintain my posture that intellectually it makes sense to be against the death penalty…& people knew this stuff before he ran in earnest let alone got to play-pretend president while he ran a pirate dress rehearsal for our current full-blown implosion of what america was (for good or ill) in the wider context of the world…& nursed that back over that line for a second bite at the don’t-get-buried-under-the-jail cherry so we could speedrun our way to incompetent nazis blighting the earth like iron sky was meant to be a documentary?

…when the pendulum swings back it’d be pretty poetic if the only spots on it required you to be willing & able to ride side-saddle?

      • Yes, Indiana pretty much said no. There’s a very slim chance it could come back, but the time frame to make it happen is narrow, like one month, and then it’s not even possible.

A Tennessee election could shut down all this gerrymander bullshit. It’s almost certain to go Republican, but the margin is critical. If the Republican wins by less than 18%, Republicans will start refusing to part with their safe districts. And considering the previous blue wave earlier this month, it’s extremely likely that the margin will be a lot closer than the Republicans can stomach:

How screwed is the GOP in 2026? One upcoming election may tell us.

Another telling point is Republicans like MTG and BoBo. If they’re comfortable defying Trump, that pretty much tells you that his power is severely diminished. It’s all speculation at this point, but there’s a bunch of theories/opinions out there that a critical mass of Republicans are ready to defect, because Dear Leader is demanding that they risk their seats to keep him in power.

Finally, there’s a couple of polls out that show Trump’s hard-core supporters have really dwindle. Can’t find one right now, but the figure I saw was that hard-core support was down to something like 22%.

Nothing truly definitive, but the overall shift is not favorable to Republicans. Which means we’re going to see increasingly desperate shit from the cornered rats, like attacking Venezuela. It remains to be seen if that will be considered a bridge too far.

    • somebody probably ought to explain to trump that if you have to explain the joke….is not a good joke…

or you know…it went over everyones heads….normally with trump..id say theres no risk of that….but then i remembered hes talking to maga…. so maybe he just knows his audience…

  2. So that housing policy shift for reducing homelessness. Assuming the switcheroo to focus on transitional housing which requires treatment programs means the religious groups that grift on these sorts of “programs” get more government money?

    • probably…. but honestly…it sounds like a get fucked shift for reducing homelessness

theres help….if you follow all these rules and guidelines and yadieyada fucking whatever

im pretty sure it translates to get fucked….
