Monday Mood [DOT 17/11/25]

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I’m safely ensconced in my rental for two weeks here in Cleveland. Hanging out with my parents is boring af but also fine. And I ordered Thanksgiving from the “fancy” grocery store so I’ve got that to look forward to.

    • …assuming he’s hanging it all on the “legally entitled to” part of what he’s advocating editing those down to the ones that suit him because they mention other people

…he’s still got bondi…& chance to bill burr some total exoneration*

[* – he wouldn’t have qualified for “not proven” in a scottish court so that’s 100% bullshit & the whole world knows if it bothers to think for even a second about it]

    • Yeah it’s basically one of: he thinks he’s redacted enough at this point; he wants to go after his enemies; he will get an “all clear” presser from Bondi*; he realizes he’s on the wrong side and it’s happening anyway so he might as well pretend he decided this was his decision to save face.

      * – the media will do their best to pretend this is completely above-board and nonpartisan and a full acquittal but I don’t think the wider public will be shrug and accept it in the same way this time like they did with Barr.

  1. The Art of the Meal

Guess Who’s Not Buying All Those Soybeans That Trump Promised After His Great Trade Negotiations?

  2. I’m just impressed they spent months saying “Tariffs don’t increase prices!” only for Mango Unchained to turn around and announce “We’re cutting food tariffs to lower prices” … guys, you gotta pick one, OK?

    • It’s a VERY clumsy variant of a standard Republican play:

      1. Create a problem
      2. “Solve” problem that we created

A very egregious example is the Iraq War, but there are lots of others.

The problem is that their voters fall for it, every single time, like Charlie Brown trying to kick Lucy’s football.

    • It goes hand in hand with the war on Christmas that we lost.

  3. Sssshhhh. We are in “quiet time.”

Kevin Hassett: "I think there could be a little bit of an almost quiet time in the labor market, because firms are finding that AI is making their workers so productive that they don't necessarily have to hire the new kids out of college and so on."

  4. I’d like to hear someone not sound like a creepy ass Pedo claiming it’s Ephepophillia.

    Any way it’s fucking gross.

    • I’m just stunned that this is the talking point they’re settling on. “It’s not this crime, it’s that crime. And since you used the wrong term, he’s innocent! Checkmate!”

      That’s NOT HOW IT WORKS
