I suspect the consequences will fall most heavily on any of these tubby weekend warriors who think that their army/navy surplus camo gear and stuff they ordered from Guns & Ammo are going to put them on par with federal agents. I know the popular take on law enforcement tends to be Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane, and that ain’t always wrong at the local level. The feds play on a different field entirely.
And they know it’s coming. I guarantee you they planned for this. Probably for months.

Second, this is how it always goes. President (or Vice President in some cases) does something hugely fucking illegal. Flunkies take the fall. Sometimes they do it knowing they’ll get pardoned anyway.
One interesting angle about the classified docs is how this may extend past Trump to high level people and not just stooges. Possession of copies of this stuff without authorization can be a crime a too, and if he was looping in people like Roger Stone or Kash Patel they may be in trouble too.
The thing about classified doc handling rules is they’re highly defined and strict. It’s a whole level higher than tax law, which is loaded with loopholes and gray areas, and court precedents are not defendant-friendly.
Which is no guarantee of anything, but it’s a minefield for these people.
I saw a tweet that said the FBI was checking all the documents for prints. It’s illegal for unauthorized people to be in the same room with some of this stuff. LIke you, I suspect some Trump cronies are going to find that out.
Especially with the way he would show shit like that off as if it were a souvenir from a trip to Niagara Falls.

Exciting news!!!! The obgyn was completely chill when I said I wanted a tubal ligation so I don’t have to deal with hormonal bc/IUD anymore for the next decade+ until menopause kicks in.
