Hi, friends!
How are you doing today? We’re almost to the weekend.
Do you have anything you’re a little obsessed with lately? I’ve been making roasted sweet potatoes as my sides for about any meal I’ve made lately. Obsessed.

Sleep. I have been sleeping a shit-ton.
I believe this time of year, it’s best to refer to it as hibernation and not sleep. 🙂
nope?
tbh ive decided if everyones going to play silly buggers….then well..fuck it
it me time now
so i guess im now self obsessed
the farscy is going to do the farscy things and in all likelyhood it will be farscical
i am done worrying about everyone elses needs
get fucked up yours and good day!
not aimed at you personal @brightersideoflife you cool 🙂
Completely understand your point!
My New Year’s resolution is to become at least 10% more feral. I’m all about me time and fuck it all.
It’s not a bad thing but gotta keep from getting too feral.
GOOD Feral:
Intimidating the shit out of new manager and supervisor thanks to my stone face look after dinging me over stupid shit.
Bad Feral:
Punching coworker in the gut after he crossed the line.
honestly the only bad feral about that is you did on the clock
good feral… fuck up your coworkers outside of hours and off premise
hr has no power over you there
Farscy’s right, here. You needed to punch him at a bar or a hockey game. Then nobody would be the wiser and you’d still have the joy of knowing you punched him.
There’s the Rodney Dangerfield joke – I went a fight and a hockey game broke out.
I wish I did but I lost my temper at that moment and well…
Sometimes it’s a come as you are thing.
Besides he is too much of a wimp to take me up on a challenge. After I hit him he ran…
i assume you call him forest now :p
We have been obsessed w/ the resident orca drama.  Tahlequah has lost another baby & all us whale lovers are devastated  supposedly the pod has another baby but she is pushing her dead calf again to show us what we have done to her baby!  Like our country & our world, we have failed her & I am very sad!

I read about that on defector.com in an article by Sabrina Imbler, who is a great science writer.
I understand. I had a couple of brief conversations with my mom’s urn last week.
Nooooooo I was so happy for her and her baby.
I’m trying to get back into tunning again but I doubt it will ever be an obsession. It never was before.
I’m not sure what you are referring to here. Making specialty alcohols? Or one of the urban dictionary options?
Oops, typo.
Running, not tunning.
I feel I want to get back into shape but I am feeling no desire to.
I think I am still depressed/mourning mom because it feels tougher to do anything. I want to blame getting older but that’s not it.
I think that’s understandable to be still working through grief. Also getting older does suck.
Mourning just takes time. It can’t be rushed or controlled, but it can be understood on its own terms after a while.
I’m sorry you are going thru that but know how you feel.  The holidays made me miss my mom & question how good a son I was because I couldn’t or didn’t go see her every holiday.  We all have those feelings but we know you did your best.
It’s never easy. My sisters are in worse shape but we’re all in the same funk.
gonna be that kind of year again
not the first or last.. just one of
we to dumb
We’ve been doing the roasted sweet potatoes over here too lately. They’re cheap as shit and sometimes we slice them thin and make chips.
Tonight, our oven went wonky though. It’s built into the countertop, so to replace it we’ll probably need a kitchen redo, which was not in our plans. It’s an old Whirlpool electric oven/stove and I don’t know anyone who fixes these things.
I would bet if you did some research you’d find an option for less than a redo. I was able to replace an element in our old oven to keep it going for about 6-7 more years and I’m a dummy.
As an interim, modern convection/toaster/air fryer countertop ovens cost about $99 and they can handle sweet potaties, mac and cheese, or a small meatloaf just fine.
Yeah I was going to suggest one of those countertop ovens if the alternative is redo the kitchen.
If replacing the elements isn’t the fix, there’s typically a board in the control panel or oven chassis. Those can fritz out over time, but you can look for a replacement board on eBay or a number of online appliance parts warehouses. I’ve had some good luck in finding parts for older appliances and keeping them running.
