All the Time is Better Than Some of the Time

We are thrilled that you’re a contributing member of this community, and we are growing. We do, however, prefer to ensure that every contribution receives the love they deserve.

If &/or when (hopefully “when” for those outside of the “if” category) you decide to write up a post, please try not to schedule or publish random or spur-of-the-moment posts at or around the same time as others. You’ll be able to see the scheduled posts in your dashboard. Also, please try to remember that we have regularly scheduled posts. They usually have a two hour gap for anyone to schedule or publish posts on the hour between them (specifically for spur-of-the-moment posts based on current events that need to publish the same day):

  • 6am – DOT;
  • 8am (either Tuesday or Thursday and sometimes Wednesday [only Lemmy knows what day it is around here]) – Wednesday Steel;
  • 10am (Mondays) – Coffee Break;
  • 10am (Saturdays) – Brain Drain;
  • 12pm – FYCE (Travel & All Rise on weekends);
  • 2pm (Wednesdays) Back to One;
  • 2pm (Thursdays) Dirty Business;
  • 4pm (Fridays) – Happy Hour;
  • 5pm – DUAN;
  • 7pm – NOT (Sometimes later than 7 as @brightersideoflife has several brighter sides to their life).

If you’d like to write any of the regularly scheduled posts (or create your own) let us know via private message. If you’re unsure when would be a good day/time to put up an unscheduled post, feel free to save it as a draft and PM a member of the editor’s group. ( The motley crew of editors are SplinterRIP, MegMegMcGee, Hannibal, KeitelBlacksmith, Butcherbakertoiletrymaker, and Elliecoo.) They will make arrangements for it to get scheduled at an appropriate time. Other than that, post as your heart desires!

    Seems as good a place as any to ask if anyone would like to take over Friday night DUAN posts for the future? Recent updates to the post editor have made it quite difficult over the last month or so to build posts on my phone. 😿 

            • Spreadsheets are THE BEST!!! (aside from Calendars!😉) for keeping track of stuff, and keepin’ it all straight…
              ‘specially when one has ADHD, and other folks around you can’t understand/decipher the blizzard of Post-its around one’s computer…
               
              Or the very technical filing system, known as “the pile,” or “the stack” from which any competent ADHD-er can produce the *exact* document needed, in approximately 0.00023 seconds!😉😈🤣

                • Surprisingly effective, although it DOES tend to drive others nuts, annnnnnd “it doesn’t look professional!”😉😂🤣
                   
                  But any good ADHD’er will tell you, we KNOW where anything we really need is in *the filing system that looks like a hot mess!*🤣🤣🤣
                  Hence…. SPREADSHEETS!😁
                  You’ll never convince me, that they weren’t originally thought up by someone who needed to show their bosses that, “Yes, i really DO have *a system* going on here!”😉

        • The Spreadsheet is The Great Motivator, for me at least. The future spreads in front of you, and there are many slots to fill, so, if you’re me, you revisit the past with an assist from your Better Half and dredge up all kinds of memories. It is cathartic, in an EST kind of way. It’s also why my FYCE posts almost always have a back story attached, but that is for all of you to enjoy or ignore.
